Robbie Laing is a licenced thoroughbred trainer based at Cranbourne, on the eastern outskirts of Melbourne.

Robbie obtained his trainer's licence in August 1980 and is a hands-on trainer who operates the state of the art training facility, along with his team of experienced staff.

He has enjoyed Group One success with champion galloper Roman Arch (2006 Australian Cup), filly Perfect Bliss (1983 Thousand Guineas) and quality stayer Pantani (2004 Adelaide Cup & 2002 Sth Australian Derby).

Robbie finished the 2006/2007 Racing Season with 23 Metropolitan winners in Melbourne and 78 winners across Australia.

In both 2006 and 2007, Robbie was crowned the premier jumps racing trainer, taking out the coveted J.J. Houlahan Trainer's award.
